"Everyone joins a band in this life.
One way or another, the band breaks up."
Like the narrator, Death, in "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak, we take an anthropomorphic walk with Music through the life of Frankie Presto, the greatest…

If you are a musician, you will LOVE this! I am a guitarist, and I was just swept up by the knowledge and creativity that Albom shared with the reader. It will bring out all of the feels and the story is absolutely fascinating!

One of my favorite reads in years! Magical realism has long been one of my favorite genres and this is a worthy addition. It follows Frankie Presto from his birth to his death. Narrated by an unusual character, Music, it has some of the…

I like a bit of magical realism, but the dreamy plot was simplistic and unconvincing to me (not to mention all the problematic aspects of several of the characters).

Loved this! Albom tells such a deep story. The metaphors between music and life surround the story. Narrated by music with interviews from real life musicians weaves throughout so it almost become historical fiction. A beautiful story…

When words are not enough, it is the beautiful language of music that binds people together. This is the theme of this book narrated my music itself. It follows Frankie Presto throughout his life and tells tales of how his music came to…

One of my all-time favorite stories. I've enjoyed several of the other Mitch Albom books, but this one was amazing. The story, the characters, the musical references, all wonderful. I listened on audiobook and I can't imagine that it…
