Computer-tech millionaire Bowie Callahan is about the last person that schoolteacher Katrina Bailey wants to work for. As far as she can see, he's arrogant, entitled and not up to the task of caring for his young half brother, Milo. But Kat is, especially if it brings her closer to her goal of adopting an orphaned little girl. And as her kindness and patience work wonders with Milo, she realizes there's more to sexy, wary Bo than she'd ever realized.

5 of 5 stars “Heartwarming Small Town Romance." 2017
I have been a fan of Rae Anne Thayne for quite a few years. Her stories are always filled with such beautiful emotions. This book, however has touched me more than any others that I have read. I especially liked the fact that she included special needs children in her story. She shows their loving spirits in so many different ways.
4.5 of 5 stars “Such an enjoyable read!” 2018
Ms Thayne is an excellent writer who creates characters you'll fall in love with. Bowie Callahan's mother was only 16 when he was born. She was a drug addict and homeless most of the time. He managed to get a GED, then graduated from MIT and tried to put his early years behind him as he became successful in computer-tech industry. He’s just moved to a new community when finds himself guardian of a 6 year old half-brother he didn't even know existed. Juggling a new job and coping with with a non-verbal and autistic child is a struggle. A chance meeting with former schoolteacher Katrina Bailey ends with him hiring her as a temporary nanny. I liked Katrina and loved Bowie, but it was 6 year old Miles who won my heart.Highly recommended for all readers, but especially for those who’ve worked with or know children with special needs.
5 of 5 stars “Awesome book” 2018
RaeAnne does a great job telling the story. Milo was a treat to read about and how he helped bring about his brother, Bowie and Katrina. Dreams do come true for Katrina as she gets to adopt her little girl and still get Bowie and Milo too. Can't wait for the next book.
5 of 5 stars “This books stole my heart.” 2018
As a mother of two severely autistic children, the character Milo was by far the best literary example of a child like mine in the spectrum. Along with the worries and frustrations of caring for him. I cried multiple times reading this book. Thank you, dear author, from the bottom heart for not having a miraculous turn around for Milo. Strong and silent, just like my own son. My world is better with him in it and I hope other readers saw the unique joy of having a special needs child.
4.5 of 5 stars "Lessons to be learned." 2017
I enjoyed the story very much, but more importantly the lessons I learned. The triumph of the human spirit (his upbringing,or lack thereof) and the challenges of dealing with an autistic child. A beautiful story, another win for Thayne.
