The beginning of a fun murder mystery series complete with delicious recipes. I enjoyed spending times with these characters, admit to having read all the books in the series, and want to try out the recipes.

I really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to reading this series. I picked up this book with the assumption it would be a fun read and I was intrigued by the prospect of recipes from the story included. I was not disappointed. It was a fun easy read with characters that you can relate to and characters that you would love to get to know. Do no pick up this book if you are looking for a serious but fun crime novel - this will not be the book for you. I can't wait to try some of the recipes!

I love this series, even though the story is sometimes interrupted with recipes. But! :) Having said that, I love the recipes. This first story in the series is really nice... just a "cozy" read without having to work your brain hard to keep up. You can actually relax with these books and yet the stories are well thought out and the books run along at a good pace. I highly recommend them if you're not after an "intellectual" mystery.
