My knowledge of France during the reign of Napoleon is limited & my interest in France is nearly non-existent. However, the spread of typhus is fascinating, so placed in this historical context is interesting. It does boggle my mind that such a person could garner such allegiance, near worship might be a cautionary tale for today. Frightening.
