Rash at his short-story best. The Second Coming is my fave, with references to Yeats & to Lynarad Synard's The Bird adding complexity. But these are not 'happy' stories -- as one reviewer says, they're "unsparing".

Rash is truly unsparing but at the same time deeply sympathetic toward his characters and their world. A must-read for people who've read "Hillbilly Elegy" and want to learn more about Appalachia and it's inhabitants.
