Liberal and conservative, religious and secular, Timothy Keller has lived and worked on both sides of this dichotomy, and notes that in our world both religious belief and skepticism are thriving. His purpose in "The Reason for God" is to engage both skeptics and people of faith about their deepest assumptions, and about their doubts. Both sides, he argues, make assumptions and leaps of faith which inform their decisions and their worldview, and both have legitimate questions which deserve honest thinking, to approach in a reason-able manner whether there is more rational evidence for or against the existence of a personal and knowable God.

If you enjoy the writings of C.S. Lewis, this book is for you. If you are looking for spiritual truth, this book is for you. Timothy Keller is an educated man and he shows that Christianity can withstand and welcomes intellectual scrutiny.
