But before the author appears, another person disappears. The husband of Molly's neighbor is missing. When a suicide note arrives, it appears the husband has jumped off the Catalina Ferry- but Molly smells something fishy. Despite the protestations of her detective boyfriend, Molly's soon hooked on unraveling another mystery. She better watch out-or her sleuthing may get her on someone's naughty list.

I enjoy reading these crochet mysteries featuring Molly Pink and the Tarzana Hookers. But I do get mad at Molly a lot during these books. She is such a push over and allows her friends, boyfriend, and especially her sons to dictate her life. That is annoying to me. But the silly premise of crochet as a central theme amuses me so I continue to read.

This is the second instalment by this author I have tried to read, and given up on very quickly (maybe I'm being unfair and yielding too soon, but I struggled so much in just the first handful of pages I couldn't bear to continue). I found the characters' personalities grating, the dialogue clunky and predictable, the exposition somewhat awkward, and the overall story just didn't hook me.

I enjoyed this book a lot and feel it has the right ingredients for a good cozy mystery, although I would li. ke to see more involvement by the whole Tarzana Hookers group in future instead of just two. A good read though. Like that there are pets, as they make a cozy seem even more so.

Too much anger, so I gave up on it. Also, I would associate "knot" with tatting, not crochet.
