Writer To Writer wasn't as good as Gail Carson Levine's previous book on writing: "Writing Magic: Creating Stories That Fly". I found the majority to be quite boring. I feel that, unlike Writing Magic, this book is more for advanced writers or someone with a specific question.
What I did like about it was the wonderful section on poetry. I can definitely recommend that you get this book if you even only want to read the poetry section. There was also a chapter on blogging. This sort of book would be nice to own, to use as a reference if a question about your writing comes up. 4/5 stars.

Great nonfiction from a writer I admire. For someone who can imagine themselves becoming an author, I highly recommend it.

Even better than her first! All and any of Levine's writing advice is helpful to anyone hoping to be an author someday. Great for everyone, young and old! Plus, Levine also talks poetry in this book. ;)
