Lawanda Blackwell writes using the history of the time and through her characters gives us a wonderful sense of Christian values. I have read all The Gresham Chronicles and enjoyed every one of them. I give this book and all the others in this series a five star rating.

Good, light read. Sometimes there was a bit too much "religion" in it for my taste but, mostly it was just a highly enjoyable book.
