Mission: Irresistible

Super spy Mykola Chernichenko comes from a family of geniuses, and though he's no idiot himself, he'd rather be where the action is than analyze it to death. That's why his vacation has just been cut short by a call to get two of his siblings out of some serious trouble--while protecting a nerdy scientist who's latest project could change the world. . .and get her killed.

The guy who'd rather act than think guarding an egghead in a lab coat? Myk would appreciate the irony more if he weren't so busy trying to figure out how, exactly, to get under said lab coat. Because Lana Ericson just happens to be the hottest thing working the scientific method since, well, ever. Myk has a feeling Lana's laser-like focus would translate to something equally intense in the bedroom. And if she's as curious about him, Myk might just be willing to donate his body to science--each and every night. . .

Baker & Taylor
Undercover federal agent Mykolo Cherichenko is called on to protect the experimental formulas of Lana Ericson, the research scientist at Mykolo's siblings' company who possesses a body to die for beneath her lab coat, but he must keep from getting killed himself as he guards the woman he desires. Original.

The story itself was fun, sexy, and interesting. The new characters were engaging and it was fun to revisit old characters, especially Brett and Claire from And Able. My main complaint is that Lana bears no resemblance to the description given of her in The Spy Who Wants Me. I like her much better in this book, and there was only a minor mention of her as a possible internal threat, but the inconsistency bugged me. She's funny, interesting, and likable, and even when I was annoyed with his emotional reticence, I was charmed by Myk too. There was also a minor editorial issue when the Chernichenko siblings were being described and two different eye colors were attributed to the mother. I'm also a little confused on the family birth order, but those are minor complaints about a book that I enjoyed a lot.
