You can't go wrong with Patricia Polacco. Her colorful pictures and unique style make this heart-warming book extra special. The text introduces readers to a little bit of Russian vocabulary, such as dacha, Moskva, and kulich. The illustrations introduce Russian imagery, such as onion domed churches and religious icons. The story tells of forgiveness and friendship.
