This book, was pretty good. I liked it for a few reasons. Firstly, it had a very original story. I’ve never read a book like this one. Secondly, it was very mature. It had violent, graphic scenes, and a lot of swearing. (Of course, some people would dislike the book for the same reasons, but this is my opinion, not theirs.) Lastly, the ending was very good. It concluded, but on a bit of a sad note. I won’t give any spoilers, but it felt like a real ending. Sometimes, it’s not a “happily ever after“.

I enjoyed this book very much, the character development between Anna and Cas is amazing. if you enjoyed this book and wish there was more, well there is! Girl of Nightmares is the second book to Anna dressed in Blood. I didn't like the ending nor much of the second book it was uncalled for and I wished it actually would have stayed with the original ending.

I really liked this book. The characters were fleshed out and it felt like I really knew them. The story holds magic, adventure, more magic, and an unexpected romance. I've never read a novel like this before and it was super fun and very refreshing. I will definitely read this again!

Can Cas, a young man, fall in love with Anna, a female ghost? Interesting story about the evolution of a strange relationship. In this story ghosts have a certain corporality (is that a word?): they can touch and be touched (and physically harmed). They are quite different from a stereotypical Caspar the Ghost. The book is a quick read and the exciting conclusion worth your investment of time.

Cas is a ghost hunter, just like his dad before him, tracking down local legends across the country and putting the dead to rest. No ghost has gotten the better of him - until he meets Anna. Quippy and spooky, this book is perfect for fans of the show Supernatural.

This is *mostly* good. I liked that there was a twist on the typical horror trope. However, I was rather disappointed that Anna and Cas's relationship devolved so quickly and things just started happening just cause. The majority of the book was spent building up this complex story and then that complexity that I'd been enjoying, fell apart not long after they started interacting.

The story itself is interesting and I'm definitely looking forward to reading the sequel, but I'm hoping the author picks up the depth of writing they started with rather continuing with how shallow things felt towards the end.

Very well written book and a good story to boot. I am always in awe of authors who can make the unbelievable, believable and amusing and spellbinding, all at the same time.

Anna dressed in blood was my first horror novel. I wanted to read a YA because I thought the creepiness factor would be more manageable - but when you are someone who typically does not read horror and hates the dark, EVERYTHING is creepy. I really liked the writing style of this book, and enjoyed the premise, the characters, and the relationships they had with each other. It kind of reminded me of the TV series 'Supernatural!'
