This is the story of the legendary American jazz singer Ella Fitzgerald. The art is as interesting and beautiful as the musical story. Illustrated by Brian Pinkney,

I so loved the writing in this book! Innovative text and rhythms mirror the bebop scat that Ella Fitzgerald became famous for. My kids and I enjoyed reading this book and then watching videos of Ella singing on Youtube.
