Baker & Taylor
When she inherits a secluded cabin from her late aunt, writer Shayla Vincent finds her hopes of living a quiet existence shattered by her new neighbor, rugged rancher Ian O'Connell, and his two rambunctous, yet adorable, nieces. Reprint.

Her aunt's bequest was the answer to Shayla Vincent's
prayers. The rustic, secluded cabin was the perfect
spot to start her long-deferred writing career.

Ian O'Connell was her new neighbor—a rugged rancher
caring for his two adorable nieces. Yet Shayla had
already helped bring up her siblings. Raising another
family when her career goal was within her grasp was
the last thing she wanted, even as the brown-eyed
cowboy had quickly become the first.

This was an ok story. I didn't rush to finish it as it wasn't that intriguing. Cute but predictable.
I couldn't get past Ian's sister leaving their 6 year old twin girls with a busy rancher for a YEAR and hadn't arranged child care while he took care of his ranch. Also - the parents wouldn't see them for an entire year..... that just doesn't realistic to me. That haunted me throughout the story. Also - Ian "thought" he'd told Shayla about the nieces arrival but hadn't and sprang it on her. Again, not very responsible.
Ranching is a busy job and it seemed that Ian and his ranch hand Ty had a lot of free time on their hands throughout the story.
I've read this author's writing before and she's done a better job on others.
