When you want to cry, but can't
10 users like thisEver feel like it'd be really nice to just have a good cry, but you just can't seem to feel things that strongly anymore after two years (or more) of being afraid? Maybe during a global pandemic and time of tremendous social and political upheaval? I honestly rarely cry in real life about real life things, but reading has always been able to turn on my tear tap. I tend to return to old favorites and giant fantasy epics when I need a cry or some comfort. Other librarians I've talked to prefer beautifully written and emotional memoirs (IndyPL_ElizabethS) or movies that let them get that cathartic release out in a couple of hours (IndyPL_JaredW). These books and movies are all ones that have wrung sobs from me or other IndyPL staff. #IndyPLAdults #IndyPLTeens
